Pros

*Great employees to work with *Doesn't have the typical large consultant structure *Has a wide variety of clients to work for *Generally has pretty interesting projects to work on

Cons

*Limited ability for growth into leadership roles and even consultant roles at the company *Cares more about growth than taking care of current consultants *Seems to care more about losing clients than losing good consultants *Trying to be the next Accenture (but don't have same structure to support), which is the opposite of what they pitch during recruiting process (hire more junior resources & more team based projects) *Took away many perks/benefits as they grew *Pushes consultants to give good reviews for best places to work and Glassdoor, so not getting honest feedback for folks reviewing these sites, etc.

This is John Tobin. Thanks for your review. We continue to work on and add on to our overall benefit package including more PTO, 401K improvements, new parent policies, etc. We are not perfect here, but we really have added vs. taken away. For me our people are our business, they make us who we are and I try hard to build as many personal relationships as possible with our employees. So I really do care about losing consultants and it's why we continue to strive to get better. I'd be happy to talk to you live about your experience while here at Slalom, if you want just send me an email to set up a time to talk - johnt@slalom.com. If you have more to share, please complete this short, anonymous survey at any time: http://slalom.ws/anonsurvey. Thank you.

Pros

•There is an impressive budget, especially for high-level events, ancillary experiences, client giveaways, and premium swag. Management does not hesitate to fund top-notch brand experiences when needed. •The company offers a highly competitive benefits and perks package that remains a strong selling point.

Cons

•The "fiercely human" core value does not match daily operations. Collaboration is routinely replaced by a self-service model of training videos and help articles. •These recurring shifts are designed to manufacture the appearance of fiscal stability for the benefit of external stakeholders and clients, while leaving core operational deficits unaddressed. •Organizational maturity is low. Teams operate in deep silos, the internal tech stack is outdated, and there is a distinct lack of adequate project and event management software.
