Pros
Learned a lot about AI and got hands-on experience with many different tools and agents. Pay was solid, and the flexibility with time off and remote work made it easy to manage childcare.
Cons
I had three different managers in just a few months, and the role I was hired for changed almost immediately — from individual contributor to suddenly managing a team with no support or clarity. There are no goals, no OKRs, and zero accountability; everyone is sprinting in different directions pretending to make progress. Performance reviews are partly based on how much you appear to use AI, so the culture rewards performative behavior over real impact. Feedback from managers is nonexistent — I never once got actionable input and was blindsided by my performance rating. The fear-driven culture is toxic, It’s chaos dressed up as innovation. RUN away.
