Pros

Modern office in one of the iconic buildings in the city. Daily afternoon tea time where snacks are provided. Drinks (soft drinks and juice) are always filled in the refrigerator. Provides opportunity for employment for Koreans living overseas.

Cons

There is different treatment between local hires and expats from Korea. Expats from Korea generally socialize amongst themselves. Budget to hire local staff not that big and is far less than the amount that the expats from Korea get. Insurance only covers yourself and children. It doesn't cover your spouse. No bonus pay out during my time. I was told that this is because the employees in Korea don't have bonuses. Minimal number of annual leaves. First year you get 10 days annual leave. From second year you get 15 days annual leave. Was told by a colleague who got promoted that the increment they received after promotion was minimal but they gave him a lot more work.

Pros

This was my first full time job in the United States and I gained alot of experience. I was working with the compliance department and it’s a good place to work especially with systems team.

Cons

Work environment is not that great as you are expected to give more than 100% . But that’s what is required as a fresher, the more tough it is the more we learn.
