Pros
Easily some of the best coworkers in the industry. Started out here as a new grad about a year ago and had initially thought I would move on after a year of experience. But because of the people I've met along the way and the relationships I've cultivated, it's really hard to leave all that behind for something else. Guess I'll stick around a while. Hard to say how the work load compares to other hospitals since this is my first RN position out of nursing school but at least on night shift, it's definitely manageable and you always have a ton of support from others (charge nurse, resource nurse, other nurses, CNAs, etc.)
Cons
Occasionally, the hospital is so overstaffed that you'll get your shift mandatorily cancelled in which case you could lose out on hours.
