Management is in Russia and doesn't understand US/Western Europe value of transparency and honesty with customers and employees.
The company says they're a "start-up" but that is cynical. They offer salary & benefits consistent with an old-school industry and under-funded company. However, the company is very profitable, it's been around for a long time, it does not seek high growth from external funding. It doesn't offer the perks other found in other cool start-ups. Best freebie is coffee. Expect to share a hotel room with another employee if you're sent out of town. This may have changed! It was standard practice when I was there.
The top leadership in US office have no related direct experience from other company(s) and is very, very young. They challenge others with resumes of success 10+ years regarding office management and key decisions. Employee turn-over is a big problem.
