Pros
Opportunity to collaborate and get involved with various projects within the team. Flexible working style. Supportive team management.
Cons
The business works in silos which is impacting how quickly new services can be brought to market. Multiple teams are offering similar services, and instead of coming together to deliver a great product, they are working against/in competition with each other. There is still a disconnect between the changing market and requirement for sustainability and the general business-as-usual working, with many colleagues, including senior management, not wanting to change how they work or the projects they deliver. This will be detrimental to the business's success in years to come. Many people are burnt out, and there is a lack of respect for working hours. The culture is to work late and at weekends, and work can't be completed otherwise due to understaffing. As many posts will show, the pay is lower than most other companies, this is because bonuses were used to top this up, however, these are reducing and there is no shared way that bonuses are worked out, its very secretive and that is unhelpful when trying to understand if your truly being valued as an employee or not. The length of promotion is around a year, with a well-known off-putting process to it, there is no need for it to run in the way that it does, and this makes it not very accessible to many.
