Pros

I came away with great friends and a stellar network of very talented people who have since left the company. The clients are fantastic, salt-of-the-earth people.

Cons

• Lacks leadership and has little internal process – everything is done by the “fly by the seat of your pants” methodology including billing and invoicing. • Insincere approach to client services. Often internal project teams are kept in the dark and are not encouraged to collaborate on projects. Most everything is done at the last minute. It’s a “yes” approach to most everything rather than working towards actual client solutions and providing strong recommendations. • Execution of projects is valued more than strategic or thought-leadership. Very little planning. • Next to no account/project management. • Employee retention is poor. It’s a revolving door of very talented people. This creates a stressful environment for those still in the office. • Team lunches or happy hour is strongly discouraged. • Over sale positions and titles; management does not allow employees to reach their potential or do the work that the employee thought they were hired to do. • No professional development, training or opportunities to “move up” • No work/life balance and lack of personal boundaries from management. It’s 24/7.

Pros

As a member of the digital marketing organization, from my desk with an amazing view of Buckhead and Dunwoody, I was able to watch first hand how hard everyone worked to ensure client satisfaction. When you are a client, you can expect a true partnership - someone who understands your business, what success looks like, and how best to achieve that success. COVID was hard on this organization, which is made up of employees who have been with Sagepath Reply for a long time (some who returned after trying out other organizations). Sagepath has always been known for kickball games, happy hours, and other get togethers. In fact, longtime friends work here. The hybrid situation (being in the office is not required) makes those experiences difficult to replicate, but the teams are working hard to find ways to continue this culture.

Cons

As the Reply acquisition continues on, more structure and rigor has been added to Sagepath's processes and procedures. In the future, this will not be a con and should be a good thing for Sagepath. Near term, the process has impacted culture and it will take a thoughtful approach to ensure everyone feels good about the next steps.
