Pros
Saber Interactive has bought many studios. I worked at New World Interactive which also got acquired in August 2020, so this review is only for NW. - The production team is the best team at this company with actually putting in effort, time and energy into getting everything done according to deadlines and quality standards. - Juniors who would like to get their foot in the door to work in the gaming industry, may benefit working here just to get experience. Once they have that on their resume, they should think about their next move. - The Paid Time Off policy is good.
Cons
- The leadership is extremely inexperienced, dishonest and untrustworthy. They try to sabotage the company and its employees every which way and every chance they get for their own benefit. - The leadership has created a culture of politics and corruption due to which mistrust is prevalent in the company. - Favouritism is abundant. - Bonuses are promised when an employee is hired but these promises are never kept. Bonuses are only given to a handful of the CEO's favourite people and no one else is kept in the loop. - The company lacks transparency and lies and hypocrisy is abundant. - Leaders have no faith in their teams and consistently throw their team members under the bus every chance they get: a sign of unprofessionalism. - There is no recruitment process in effect because the leaders have no experience recruiting. - New World Interactive has a notorious reputation in the gaming industry due to a bunch of bad eggs at the top level who are driven by greed. - The leadership only cares about bonuses and does not intend to solve the many problems the company faces internally. - NW prides itself to be a beacon for diversity and inclusion, and there are people from varied cultures, races and sexes but the way they are treated is intolerable. Women experience sexism, misogyny, and all sorts of discrimination in this company. They are not heard and not taken seriously.
