Pros

Good Pay, above minimum wage.

Cons

Don’t work here, there’s barely any training for ANYONE, especially PIERCERS! LITTLE TO NO SUPPORT, EVER. Studs definitely holds the record for WORST, TOXIC work environment of any job I’ve worked. It is NOT a Studio issue but an entire company issue. This company is rooted in favoritism, catty drama and bias with a target audience of a VERY VERY specific type. You’re treated like a DOG by everyone, ESPECIALLY if you don’t look a certain way. Even by guests because revenue is just oh so important, so much more important than your well-being and safety. Such poor working conditions and very little to no genuine care, They WILL take advantage of you, make up lies so that you’re always wrong and use the pay as an excuse for the neglect.

Pros

As a piercer, I was given flexibility and ownership of my role. I got along well with my coworkers, and my input was taken into consideration.

Cons

No cons. It was a supportive and collaborative work environment with plenty of room to grow.

Pros

my coworkers are great. you get a 50% employee discount (which still isn't that good because the jewelry is overpriced and cheap) you have better chances of joining the piercing apprenticeship if you work FOH (if you can stand working FOH that long)

Cons

they give you either 5 hours a week or 40, no in between. they also change the schedule all the time without telling you about the changes. the managers are toxic. constantly creating new rules and leaving you confused. expectations are WAY too high - blames the lack of traffic and purchases on FOH. as of January 2026 - they lowered the pay. FOH used to be paid around 22 an hour, and are now paid 19.50. also lowered pay for piercers. ceo doesn't know what shes doing and also doesn’t care about you. they pretend to be super progressive, but are tailored and marketed towards one kind of person. they hate promoting their workers! you have to prove yourself to the moon and back (and more) to even be heard out.
