Pros
It's about the people - for the majority of SAS, people are well-treated and given an opportunity to have an excellent work/life balance. Good benefits, including medical, dental, vision. Management actively solicits and listens to feedback.
Cons
If you are looking for a job, know there are "two" SAS cultures - the traditional Software (R&D, Customer Experience, Sales/Marketing) and the newer SAS Solutions OnDemand. Stay away from latter. Traditional SAS offers the Work/Life and Culture that you read about. The SSOD culture is long hours, much stress, and high turnover.
