Pros
- Pay is competitive, annual raises reflect the effort you put in (all positive for me so far!)
- SAIC works with employees to utilize work-from-home privileges if the contract/work allows
-Culture promotes self-motivated people; encourages taking responsibility for ones work. A very hands-off management style with the expectation that you will deliver or reach out if you run into any roadblocks, need assistance, etc. You are expected to be professional, transparent, and to pursue excellence.
- JOB SECURITY: SAIC reassigns employees if contracts are canceled/lost/etc. If you are a valuable employee, displaying valuable skillsets that can be used elsewhere AND have the "whatever it takes" attitude, they will work to find you a new position if you are ever in a situation where your contract has been canceled etc.
Cons
- Not all employees receive the same education benefits; educational credit/financial support is dependent on the contract you are on
- You are not guaranteed 100% remote work due to the sensitive nature of the government work SAIC supports
