The pay was terrible. In this regard SAIC is no different than any of the other low bib, low pay government contractors. I realize that the feds are enabling this environment by offering contracts to the lowest bidder, not necessarily the most qualified team. Then the feds wonder why its hard to accomplish much. I'm now a fed, and I get paid nearly $50K more per year than when I worked at SAIC, and the occasional award pay. Yes, $50K. Also hard to move up or around within the company; I was basically tied to the customer site.
