Pros

Where do I even begin? I am in my 3rd year of working at Rugs Direct. Since the day I started, I knew this company was going to be different. The CEO and leadership team is so empathetic, caring, and progressive and I have seen this over the three years tremendously. For example, every employee gets a birthday gift and its personalized to them. We have monthly "engagement" activities like "post your dog" for national dog day and random winners will get gift cards. These are just small ways RD tries to show employees they care. Now here is the bigger point, they LISTEN. You know those yearly surveys companies send out to see how they can do better? RD LITERALLY takes it seriously and always listens and takes actions (compensation, benefits, sick days, etc.). As an employee, you're always encouraged by your manager, leadership is extremely transparent with goals/direction of the company, and everyone is just overall so kind. If you ever get the opportunity to work here, take it as a blessing. I couldn't be happier with my experience at RD.

Cons

I truly do not have any.

Pros

Other departments have decent leadership and employees

Cons

The Merchandising Department is poorly run and lacks competent leadership. You’re constantly tasked with responsibilities outside of your job functions and then mistreated and disrespected by executive senior leadership. The CEO of the company is a docile individual who allows the executive leader of merchandising to mistreat and harass her subordinates and fellow coworkers. She creates a hostile workplace for others and the CEO allows it to happen. They don’t have a Human Resources department, just a director of “people/culture” who doesn’t take complaints or concerns seriously. Instead of treating people fairly and providing raises that reflect inflation they send out cheap popcorn makers and “stress therapy dough”…(I guess that helps coupe with the constant harassment). Look for a job elsewhere.
