Pros
Very good pay and benefits, focused on safety, world-wide company,many locations. Great people and a lot of history which made it fun.
Cons
Rio Tinto is currently trying to cut costs and appears to not have a good idea of just how to do it. They appear to be making a lot of knee-jerk reactions there is a lot of re-organization and layoffs happening. My position was one of those eliminated positions, I understand the need to cut costs but some sites will begin to suffer with lack of support from the global monster that is RioTinto.
