The class availability and scheduling is on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, you get top priority based on teacher ratings and student ratings.

Classes to cover for the duration of a couple weeks get picked up within seconds of the links dropping. Same day substitute classes are often available but they get picked up fast too. Planning time is not paid. Since classes are remote across the US, some school staff and students make it extremely difficult to teach remotely. It can be extremely distracting for students and interrupts the lessons being taught remotely.
