Pros

Relatively solid junior class Some groups are pretty collegial, have social events and get along well Banking hours but nothing absolutely insane Management little bit later to push on streetwide mandates (return to office, vaccines, etc.) than other banks Willingness to promote Compensation more heavily in cash than some other firms with large stock component

Cons

Pretty high turnover Lower quality talent, getting frustrated from working with not the smartest people Comp always feels average at best with respect to Street Typical hierarchal issues of an investment bank Leaner teams and less staffing than bigger banks

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
