This is tough feedback for us to read, but we are grateful you took the time to submit it. This year, we've gotten much more intentional about gathering employee feedback, conducting employee surveys every quarter to help understand how we're doing and where we can improve. We are proud that our Employee Net Promoter score has improved from +5 earlier this year to +27 as of this message (Oct 2022).
Of course, there's more that we can do. But, we are confident in our growth ambitions and proud of the process improvements we are making across the business, including on internal communications, compensation and learning, this year. We've also invested significantly in benefits and quality of life improvements that make a positive difference for everyone on our team.
We do not shy away from tough feedback, and we are committed to listening to our team and making improvements where we can.
Support management was genuinely strong and human focused. The support team itself was close knit, collaborative, and flexible, which helped prevent turnover. Benefits were solid with above average PTO, and leadership within support made an effort to protect work life balance. The culture encouraged empathy for employees as people, not just numbers.
Cons
Pay was below market and annual raises did not keep up with inflation. Advancement and promotion opportunities were very limited, especially outside of support. Cross team communication and efficiency were weak, particularly in a fully remote environment. Broader leadership and executive alignment often felt disconnected from day to day realities, which led to burnout or skill stagnation over time.
