Pros

The pros of working here are the same you see in most reviews. Benefits are good, lunch for $4 is decent, and you meet great co-workers who you trauma bond with. Outside of that.. there are not many pros.

Cons

Leadership is completely out of touch and heartless. The company is seemingly having a crisis and has been firing-happy within certain departments in the past year and a half. My situation was very eye-opening as my "firing" was more of a layoff or someone didn't like me (hence, always watch your back). I was asked to come to a meeting room, and once I sat down, I was told I was being let go for "performance reasons". In which the person who fired me left the room after the 30-second statement and left me with HR. HR never provided any proof of poor performance, nor could they answer the questions I had regarding my performance and since I the person who fired me left and never came back, I couldn't ask them any questions either. Instead, they insisted that the decision was final, and I was escorted out after almost 4 years with the company, and half of those spent in Leadership were on the other side of performance conversations before, knowing how they should happen and be documented. There had been no prior conversations regarding performance, no attempt to rectify or correct poor performance, and no documentation signed by me or given to me.

Pros

The People Make Paycom - I really enjoy working with everyone I have had the change to work with. As someone that moved to Oklahoma from out of state, my co-workers were welcoming, and I have several current and previous co-workers that I am friends with outside the office. In addition, the clients that I work with LOVE Paycom. It is easy to come to work when you are working with clients that genuinely want your help and enjoy working with you.

Cons

There aren't many opportunities to work remotely or from home in a hybrid manner, at least not in my department. My department is also relatively new, so there are a lot of changes fairly often. I'd like to have more consistency there, but I know that will come as our department grows.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
