Paycom used to be a place that you could accomplish your wildest dreams, make incredible friendships, and live a life of true abundance. It sounds cheesy to say, but Paycom truly had some magic. That Paycom is gone now. As someone that spent more than a decade there, it’s so sad to see what this company has become. Just to name a few things: trainings on Saturdays, being told that if you miss a training you’re fired, leadership cutting 20+ people from new hire classes with no explanation, having to choose between your family or traveling to Dallas every other week for training- I can go on and on. Favoritism runs rampant. One person was allowed to come to training a day late because they were running an iron man, but another person was threatened with termination if they left a training early when their child was in the hospital. The things me and so many others have witnessed over the last 6 months are truly despicable. But if you would have asked me 7-8 months ago about my experience at paycom, I was telling everyone I know how wonderful Paycom was and how thankful I was. That is long gone, again, Paycom has lost its magic. There are still some great leaders left, but they don’t get to actually be leaders. And then there are the leaders still in leadership that had no business being leaders in the first place. My advice to anyone looking for a job at paycom, don’t. Save yourself the stress and disappointment.
