Pros

There are a lot of PROs: 1. Amazing teams, Engineering, Accounting, and so on, with great team players. People have each other's backs. This is an important value at PMPC 2. You feel like you matter, that you are not just a number. Colleagues care. Management cares. They want you to grow. They help you grow. Everything you need to improve your work life, they do their best to help you. I really hope this won't change as the company grows. 3. Good work-life balance. No one has expectations for you to work outside your work hours. 4. Great values - you can find these on their website. Employees actually share these values, they are not listed there just because it looks good. 5. Fully remote work - for me a big pro. Because of this, you can work from other places in the world, as long as you have a good internet connection. 6. Opportunities to grow. Lots of them.

Cons

Working remotely with colleagues completely outside your time zone can make you feel disconnected at time, and give you the fear that your are missing out on things or that you are left outside. That is not the case, of course, just that it may give you the feeling. That is the case with any remote job, not just this one.

Pros

Leadership is genuinely engaged and invested in my growth. I’m constantly learning and evolving, which has been such a refreshing change of pace. My team is fantastic. Thoughtful, kind, and incredibly supportive. I’m really enjoying my time here so far. I stay busy, but I’ve been able to make a meaningful impact, and that’s been incredibly rewarding. The benefits are really strong and thoughtfully designed. A truly comprehensive Total Rewards package. The culture here is really unique and something I really appreciate! Very much looking forward to growing my career with this company.

Cons

We are growing quickly, which can sometimes mean shifting priorities and evolving processes. If you prefer highly structured environments with everything fully built out, this may feel fast paced at times. We are remote - so you have to make a conscious effort to connect, but PMPC also gives us real opportunities to connect in person (Annual All-Company Summit!)

Thank you for taking the time to share this. I’m really glad to hear you’ve had such a positive experience so far. It means a lot to hear that your team has been supportive and that you feel you’re learning and making an impact. You’re also right that growth brings some shifting priorities and evolving processes. We’ll keep working to improve clarity and communication as we scale. Thanks again for being part of the team. I’m excited to see your continued growth here. - Justin Chalfant

Pros

I had recently retired from a large software company after 30+ years of service. I wasn't sure if I was done working but I knew that chapter in my life was done. The things that I had loved about my previous company were long gone. Customer obsession, showing empathy (especially to employees), and humility, to name a few core values, were no longer part of the company culture. Work was no longer fun. It had become just a job. I can honestly say that this was the only scenario and company for which I considered coming out of retirement and pursuing. The leadership team models & lives our core values day-to-day. This has created a culture where employees are empowered to do their best work. I definitely have a passion for the solutions that we build and the lives that we are able to change but how we do it has been the most refreshing to me. Work is fun again.

Cons

I'm not sure I have run across any to date. We're fully remote and flexibility is valued. Maybe a con is not joining PMPC sooner?

Thank you for taking the time to write this. Coming out of retirement after 30 plus years to join Patch My PC is a huge compliment, and I do not take that lightly. I really appreciate how you described what changed at your previous company. It is a good reminder of what can get lost when companies scale, and it is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Customer obsession, empathy, humility, and staying grounded are not posters on a wall for us. They have to show up in how we lead and how we work together every day. I’m also glad work feels fun again. That might sound small, but it is not. Life is too short for a place that drains you. Thank you for being here and for helping us keep our culture strong as we grow. Also, the “not joining sooner” line made me laugh. Justin Chalfant
