A good place to learn the industry, but not grow your career or salary. So don't stay long. - Director Parexel Employee Review

Pros

* Training department has a lot of video presentations on clinical regulations in a well organized library for online viewing * If you work hard and do a good job, you can be assigned even more challenging work to learn and sharpen your skills * It is a big company and you can move around to other divisions to expand your knowledge

Cons

* In the 2000s and up until 2015, it was a good company.. Then the founder was less involved and his COO made a mess. We thought it would get better in 2017 when private equity acquired the company, but it got worse and many of us quit in 2018 * In every country region and functional groups, the corporate defined salary scale is way below market rates * As a manager of a profitable service group, it was extremely difficult to get approval to promote staff (and approvals were rare and few) - this was the same problem for my boss and his boss above him * The private equity's executive leadership was so egotistical and ambitious that it was creating a culture of backstabbing worthy of a cheesy TV reality show

Pros

Well trained managers that empower you, truly listen to you, and only do well if YOU do well/ they provide resources and definitely offer development opportunities to those who want them AND have demonstrated they can maintain their scoped, regular duties at a high level of quality while working on special development projects Also unlimited RTO in US

Cons

no bonuses and too much focus/emphasis on how many years with *Parexel*, as opposed to how many years total you have been in the industry (ex doing site management at another CRO or Sponsor group )

Pros

A few nice people. That's it.

Cons

"With Heart" is a joke. This company does not care about its employees. Those that have been there for a number of years seem to be brainwashed into thinking this culture is normal and that this company cares about them. Parexel likes to make employees feel like they are just lucky to be there. Senior Leadership lacks management and people skills and are quick to throw employees under the bus to protect themselves. Probably because for many of them this is the only company they've ever worked for. This accounts for the high school clique-like culture. The workload is ridiculous for the pay and expectations are constantly shifting. The only thing Parexel cares about is money. The company is overloaded with ridiculous metrics. It's practically all you will have time to do. The most miserable place I've ever worked.
