Over the last couple of years, the company has really started to go downhill. Wage increases were postponed until July, bonuses have never even existed, and the real revenue-generators are completely undervalued. Meanwhile, middle management is bloated with people who bring zero value to the team.
Massive layoffs have started, which has created a lot of job insecurity. While downsizing might be necessary, I just hope they actually target the dead weight. Additionally, management is heavily shifting focus toward offshoring to India; in my experience, the collaboration was difficult as the output from those teams was often very limited and lacked creativity.
Work-life balance is nonexistent. I was consistently doing the workload of 2+ FTE with absolutely no financial reward or incentive. Upper management is completely disconnected from reality, burdening teams with useless, time-wasting procedures just so they can pretend to be "innovative." All in all - way too much work for peanuts.
