Pros

Nurnberg is a nice place to live, if a little far from the ocean. Office is modern but about a 25 min drive from somewhere a younger person might want to live. Some roles have a lot of travel.

Cons

Very poor pay compared to similar roles in other countries. Very poor senior management, people who've been at the company for too long and are too afraid of change. Very poor HR management, nobody with a backbone. Canteen is effectively no longer subsidised so you can expect to spend a lot of your salary there if you plan to eat at the office every day. Not to mention the weird food they make there. As with every big corporation, politics gets you everywhere, not work. If you want to travel, be prepared to spend a lot of time on motorways to Frankfurt and Munich. Nurnberg is not a well serviced airport. Germany, Bavaria in particular is backwards.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Glassdoor! We appreciate your positive comments about our modern office environment and the appeal of living in the Nuremberg area. While our headquarters is located in Herzogenaurach, we know that proximity to a vibrant city like Nuremberg adds to the overall lifestyle experience for many of our employees. However, we’re sorry to hear that your experience at PUMA hasn’t aligned with the environment we work hard to create - a dynamic, inclusive and motivating place to grow and thrive. At PUMA, we ensure that our employees’ efforts are recognized with competitive salaries. We also want to highlight that our P&O team is dedicated to acting in a people-first way to ensure that everyone's best interests are always considered. In terms of workplace amenities, our HQ offers a modern “green eating” concept with a variety of lunch options - ranging from affordable meals to more premium choices - across our canteen, Coffee Bars, and the PUMA Café. We strive to offer fresh, regional ingredients with a focus on sustainability and healthy nutrition. As we always aim to create an inspiring and supportive working environment, we continuously look for ways to improve. To do that effectively, we rely on constructive criticism and are very open to direct feedback that helps us move forward.
