Pros
- Great work atmosphere with great people - Great work/life balance - Great pay opportunities - A lot of internal initiatives are genuine efforts to try to improve member experiences, despite what people might think of someone employeed by UHG
Cons
- Frequent RIFs that happen like clockwork every quarter - If you want to earn more, you have to keep jumping to different positions. Promises of raises or merit-based promotions will never surface. - Culture has changed a lot from how it was when I first started - Stock exchange program used to be much more lucrative but they changed it back in 2020 and it's only become less beneficial - Health insurance plans are alright, but not as good as you'd expect for a company in the domain of health insurance - UHG in general has lost a lot of good will with the public in recent years and hasn't really done enough to earn back public trust.
