Pros

My colleagues, However, most them are leaving.

Cons

Writing Working at Optima Health has become increasingly challenging due to constant uncertainty and ongoing organisational changes. Over the past year there have been multiple restructures and mergers, which have created instability across teams and significantly impacted staff morale. At the same time, resources have been reduced while workloads continue to increase. Employees are expected to manage more responsibilities with fewer people and less support, which is becoming unsustainable for many teams. Another concern is the lack of financial recognition. There has been no pay rise since January 2024, despite the increasing workload and expectations placed on staff. Leadership is also an area that needs improvement. Senior managers often appear reluctant to take ownership of problems and instead push issues down to staff who are paid significantly less, expecting them to resolve complex operational challenges without adequate authority or support. Overall, the constant change, lack of stability, increasing workload, and absence of meaningful recognition have contributed to declining morale among staff. Greater transparency, accountability from leadership, and investment in staff would help rebuild trust and create a more supportive working environment.

Thank you for your feedback, we have grown significantly and seen a lot of change over the years. It is a great thing to see the business being successful and striving to be No.1 in its market. This creates opportunity for those who want it but will inevitably mean lots of change. Change is a necessary part of any business and should not be feared. In addition, we are implementing technology and tooling to help our people do their jobs and to digitalise our world so that it becomes an easier environment for our people to work within. We are also working hard to strengthen the support we give to managers to ensure they are equipped to support their teams. It is not true that pay increases have not occurred since January 2024, we have fulfilled our obligations around the Real Living Wage, our clinical framework and other relevant aspects of the business. However, we do not give cost of living raises, we are a pay for performance employer.
