Pros

Work life balance is on par; 401K matching is good if you value retirement beyond career; Good midtown NYC location

Cons

Where do I start? I give it a 2 start only because I'm not dissatisfied with my manager, and that it is a job. This place is falling apart - no knowledge sharing, no teamwork, nobody cares how the person sits next to you is doing. Everybody is thinking of their own short term interest. Even the management wants to grab the last drop of cash flow and leave. Yes, the business is still a cash machine. But it is no longer as lucrative so don't be surprised to get your bonus taken away from the PE owner by year end. The technology is so old that you feel like living in the early 90s. Be prepared to sit at your desk all day without anybody talking to you. Good employees leave soon after they join. The better an employee is the sooner they leave because everybody knows this place is a serious joke. Don't join this company if they pay you good money. Don't join this company if you don't like financial software, because if you do, it'd make you so miserable that you'll never forget how bad a decision you've made. Most importantly, what you learn at this company isn't likely going to be useful at other places, except the politics, perhaps. Join if you think about retirement, or know someone powerful in the company. Good luck.
