Pros

Zero Pros, none whatsoever. They pay a lot of money. If you're looking to get a high salary jump and switch to another job after then go for it. My guess is you will want to leave 2 weeks after you start working there.

Cons

No ressources No management skills No structures Do not work for those people specially those at Fort Meade, MD, and specially if it is RF/Wireless spectrum related. Power struggle people with military mentality. They will treat you as a soldier with no life. They will treat as a simple contractor. They do not care about your life outside work and how that can affect your work schedule. They will monitor every step you take. They have a high turn over rate. They will most likely not hire you after your 6 months contract is over if you're a subcontractor for them. Management don't make decision. DoD makes it for them. They have people who are managing RF spectrum related teams and they know nothing about spectrum and it takes forever to get them to understand some basic topics. As an engineer and a contractor, you have no say in meetings, they get every info from you and go make themselves look good. The management team is like the blind leading the blind. 95% of the management team DoD and contractor do not have any college degree whatsoever. Think I'm lying? Ask around in the spectrum community. Their reputation precede themselves. It is so bad there that they are giving a 10k bonus for each year you stay and still people leave. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Pros

Very military friendly! I am able to fulfill my military duties (Reserve) without any problem. The company communicates very well to their employees. Outside of bonuses, the company does well in recognizing their employees for their hard work.

Cons

In my position, I was put in charge of an action group that has 5 other employees. I was not offered any pay bump, even though I communicated very clearly that in a new leadership position, I should be paid accordingly. I received a solid though average annual raise, but not even close to the amount that should be paid in my position.
