NHS is a well regarded, successful organization in the Long Term Care Business. It is family owned and operated and growing at a rate of approximately 5 to 6 % per year in size and revenue. The goals of the organization are admirable and the loyalty to long term employees is second to none.
Cons
NHS is slow to recognize the rapidity of change in the LTC industry; more effort is spent on politically trying to hold back the tide of change than adapting to it. Dedication to long term staff without regard to performance or ability handicaps their ability to adapt quickly enough. All of the capacity, relationships and capabilities are there including the technology infrastructure to allow true rapid transformation in the face of capitation, but staff are to busy doing day to day work rather than transformative work.
