Pros
- Great opportunities to grow and visibility to the clients; - Sometimes. the possibility to do projects abroad; - Pay above average of the Big 4, in some countries.
Cons
- Can get monotonous and repetitive projects, that don't challenge you and don't let you grow as a professional; - Your evaluations are highly skewed to the manager/partner you are assigned. I've seen people working more than others and having evaluations with lower scores than others, just because they have a more demanding manager/partner, or get one that is not competent (see next bullet point); - The top management (managers and partners) are not very capable, except for few exceptions. Most of them are in that position because the good ones left, and it can get frustrating how they are not capable to have a strategic vision for growth and do not know how to handle big projects and clients, as well as prioritize topics. Having said that, of course that are some exceptions, and you can find some managers/partners that are very capable and talented. It depends on how lucky you are.
