1) "Who you know" is very important at MITRE for getting good project assignments, just as it is at most consulting companies.
2) Skill obsolescence is tolerated at MITRE. There is quite a bit of dead wood in the MTS-5/MTS-6 ranks.
3) MITRE staff and management often reinforce the bad behaviors of our sponsors: Laziness, indecision, lack of accountability, lack of results.
4) The "Strengthen the Technical Core" (STC) process is corrupt and broken --> It needs to be less subjective and more evidence based.
