Pros
Lyondell gives their co-ops (esp chemical engineers) really meaningful projects that are beneficial to the company and the co-op for the experience they gain and the visibility their projects have. They also really focus on community service and engagement and I was able to participate in so many events. So many people were helpful to me, and they really do seem invested in your success.
Cons
It can be long hours and they expect a lot from you and expect you to be open to learning new technologies and processes. I also had my own office at a small plant and sometimes felt a little isolated. But overall, if I had liked the industry, I would have stayed with the company.
