      High salary, good people, made a lot of friends

      Cons

      Too many empty promises and lies (“you can switch to a new discipline if you’re interested in it”, “we never fire anyone”). Resistant to change, which is visible in the antiquated office, lack of diversity (less than 10% woman in engineering, maybe 1 black person), and maternity leave policy.

      Pros

      Excellent people and good managers. People have positive attitudes and are generally happy to share knowledge. Lots of vacation time and good 401k compared to competitors.

      Cons

      The company appears to offload more and more engineering design work to contractors and outside companies. They also have a kind of "startup culture" and want to be like a tech company but without tech company pay.
