Wellness company that doesn't support true wellness - Anonymous employee Life Time Employee Review

Pros

GREAT education team and structure - always on top of current knowledge in wellness field Mostly promote from within - very willing to help with INTERNAL career path Decent benefits for a single person (can't speak on families) They focus on an inclusive "team" atmosphere CAN be a good place to make money if the stars align, but a LOT harder for nutrition coaches than for trainers with no additional support

Cons

Commission structure for registered dietitians does not support the education, time spent, and financial investment that goes into acquiring the title. Management throughout the entire company does not value work/life balance whatsoever - they mostly don't allow part time employees, complain and make you feel guilty about PTO requests, require managers to work 6 days minimum, "require" full time employees to work more than FTE hours (which isn't legal), but on a commission based pay structure, have so many events throughout the year that require more hours spent with no additional compensation They only focus on numbers and turn all "wellness professionals" into sales people. I feel like the process of "draw" can't actually be legal - when you're hired in the training department they basically "loan" you money out of their own paychecks, that you are required to pay back over time - meaning you were actually working for free for an extended period of time? I feel like it might be different in other regions, but in my region the culture was terrible and only driven by money and power. Team members weren't treated well and the only way to really make money was to sell people things they didn't need and to schedule clients for every single hour of the day leaving no time to even eat a meal (much less 2 or 3 since you're there basically all day and night)

Pros

Free Membership Cool employees Discounts on services

Cons

They don’t pay anything, and the CEO should honestly be ashamed. If employees were paid properly, there wouldn’t be so much drama and tension in the workplace. Communication is terrible because management doesn’t even seem to care — probably because they’re getting crumbs too. Spa management was dreadful, and the demotion was necessary. How do you fail to have people booked during major holidays when the money and clientele are clearly there? There was no structure, no leadership, and no motivation for employees to succeed. Having a successful spa for 3 years and coming into this environment I was not impressed. No growth, no support, no appreciation. Loved the members tho! And S/O to Leemar, Virgil and Dr. Hayden love them down!
