Pros
- collegues where friendly and nice would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for the inhumane way of paying and poor management
Cons
- banked hours is not made clear within the contract nor by the manager. Lidl contract you a certain amount of hours a week and if the store had no more hours to pay or give you then they won’t. But be careful this means you fall into banked hours. Therefore in my final pay instead of paying the hours I worked they overpaid me for my last month of work and 4 months later requested I owed them 300 pounds worth of money due to there miscalculation. And that faliure to pay this would result in me going to court when I stated what I could afford on a monthly plan it wasn’t what they had hoped but unfortunately I had a lot to pay for with my health which takes priority, they where anything but helpful, rude and an awful company to work for wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy to work there ever !!! the ordeal and stress of the constant back and forth communication on there behalf is appalling. As well unfortunately I’m not the only one my poor friend at lidl had his contract changed which was declined by head office but this was not communicated to him none the wiser he worked on what he thought was his new contracted hours only to find out a year later he had racked up so much hours due to the contract never changing he owed them 1000s the poor guy has been working for free to pay off the hours before he leaves because if he doesn’t again they will take him to court. An extremely unfair and unclear company which is appalling for young people I would stay well clear “lidl pay good” well that is not the case I’m afraid
