Pros

Alright money I suppose. 10% discount.

Cons

Horrible and malicious upper management. No support, inadequate training, favouritism, random shifts and no routine despite it being easy to do; vile, aggressive, entitled and mouthy customers. Deadlines are getting tighter, unreasonably so. Favouritism. If one person wants to work mornings and another wants to work evenings, instead of scheduling them accordingly they will split both making each take turns on mornings and evenings and as a result causing hassle for both parties. This is just one example of the lidl no common sense culture. If you are a shift manager DO NOT discipline or chastise female subordinates. If you do they WILL get upset and you WILL be the bad guy. Some employees are shown favouritism by being allowed flexible working whilst others are not. This is especially true if you are a male. There is no respect for colleagues and no team ethos. Young female employees in the morning shift leave the store in a mess and males on the back shift have to tidy up. Rules change all the time but changes are not communicated. Terrible organisation with commonly used equipment not having a set place. Aggression towards staff from customers is tolerated and you are always the bad guy. Take my advice and avoid.

Pros

Intelligent engaged people, Modern offices, Decent pay, and good retirement benefits.

Cons

Growing pains of a European company modifying its business to grow its American footprint. Senior leadership was mostly European. Felt disconnected from American grocery culture.
