Now this list is most definitely not exhaustive and for the purpose of making it easy to read I have condensed many points into summary's.
1. Being left on a till for a whole 10 hours with no stimulation other than scanning items.
2. At times being given a break at 9pm when having started at 3 and finishing at half 10.
3. Very very bad mannered management, if they are having a bad day this will most usually entail you also having a bad day.
4. Expected to stay past your contracted finish time of half 10 if everything isn't finished, making it hard to create plans as you don't know if you will be 'allowed' to leave.
5.District managers having unrealistic expectations of store managers which then trickles down the Pecking order.
6. Many laws being broken, I can not count the amount of times I have witnessed chilled inventory being left outside of the chiller for over an hour and then being sold.
7. Had a rat investation which was mainly in the bakery area. Not only were the public not informed, lidl carried on business as usual!
8. The hygiene levels of the bakery would make customers never eat it again if only they knew. ( Only brushing crumbs out of baking trays and never being given time to actually wash/disinfect them.)
9.Although the pay is decent, if you have any sort of difficulty with mental health then I would avoid this job unless you are DESPERATE. The way you are treated and what is expected of you will flair up any underlying anxiety/ depression issues like winter does to ezcema!
