Potential for great tips and cool coworkers. Opportunity to learn a lot about local wines. Good for a temporary job but not for long term employment/career advancement.
Cons
Asked to work off the clock and through breaks, poor observance of CA labor laws. Poor management that was always hindered by owners that did not understand the restaurant industry. Not enough funding for the restaurant to provide adequate glassware, cutlery, training, staffing, etc.
