Pros
I worked as a freelancer for Key Media before becoming a full-time employee, and on both sides of the fence, I've been quite pleased with the company's flexibility and willingness to let me define the parameters of my job. While the work can be stressful at times (as it always is in deadline-driven environments), I've never felt pressured to take on more work than I can reasonably handle, which has been a nice change of pace from other publishing companies I've worked for. The Denver office is small and very welcoming, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. To be honest, part of the reason I started off freelancing is because I was a bit spooked by some of the negative reviews I read of the company on this site, but after more than three years, I'm happy to say that my experience here has been overwhelmingly positive.
Cons
Pay and benefits could be better. Also, working with people all over the globe can be challenging in terms of managing different time zones, but I feel that the opportunities afforded by working for a company with a global footprint outweigh the inconveniences.
