Pros
Many individuals are genuinely nice, good, hard-working people and easy to get along with. Unfortunately, they don't deserve what happens to them at this company. Also, you feel a bit like you are in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" which is cool. Unfortunately, there are several Miranda characters. We have some bikes we get to ride in the parking lot in the summer.
Cons
Literally everything else. To name a few - -Upper/senior management micromanages EVERYTHING and causes CONSTANT fire drills and knee-jerk reactions. -ZERO work/life balance. Even non-managers frequently need to work 60 hours a week and sometimes even come in on SUNDAYS to get everything done. If they don't, they get yelled at. It has nothing to do with being inefficient and everything to do with poor upper management -Poor planning ahead (if there even is any) and last-minute decisions that should have been made months in advance cause a "fecal waterfall" that pours down on everybody below upper management. -People are so demotivated that turnover is absurd. I would bet that the local McDonalds has a lower turnover than corporate HQ. -Raises and promotions are very rare, regardless of how well you score on yearly performance reviews and goals, or how good you are at your job. Firing and rehiring is much more common. -Scapegoating is very common. Refer to the previous point. -Forcing people out by treating them horribly is also very common. -People are so afraid of being fired most won't speak their mind or disagree with any idea that upper management has. We all then get lectured in the quarterly meetings about how the lack of trust is the fault of managers and low level employees. -Almost nothing is being done to address any of the previous points. Ignoring a problem won't make it go away. It seems like upper management just doesn't really care, as long as the private owners are turning some sort of profit and they get their bonuses to buy new cars with. I could probably write a book, but if I haven't written enough to persuade you to run yet, then I probably never will. Just know, you've been warned. Abandon all hope ye who enter here.
