Pros

You learn quickly because they throw you in with no training.

Cons

Managers think they know everything and do not listen. They are too controlling. They just want you at a desk 'working'. You get labelled as a time waster for getting a cup of tea and teamwork is forbidden because talking is not allowed. No respect from the managers and always rude. They made me use my personal phone and data for social media management, which is my job, and then I would get in trouble for being on the phone too much. They do not care about anything Islam or behave in a good muslim manner. No training or pay rise even though it was promised during interview stage. Do not belive anything they say.

Islam Channel Response

I’m pleased to say that this review bears no relation to the reality of working at Islam Channel. Talking is encouraged, whether in real life or online, because as a media platform, communication is at the heart of what we do. Cooperation between teams is valued because that’s how we work effectively and come up with creative ideas. As well as faith, our core values include integrity and respect and these are not just words but something which is practised on a daily basis. Staff are given a high level of autonomy to manage their own workload and there is a culture where hard work and positive achievements are rewarded.
