Pros

On the production level, there are some amazing people who work there. It's not hard to make friends and most everyone genuinely is looking out for each other. The pay is decent if you can negotiate properly, flex hours are a big plus especially when you have a family. The IT department is very diverse and is in fact, the most inclusive department in the company. Benefits are not bad at all and you are paid weekly. They have a happy hour a couple times a week on the rooftop bar with a decent selection and catering. The new building is beautiful and is very accommodating. They do multiple charity work through out the year that they highly encourage their employees to participate in and extend time off that won't take away from your PTO.

Cons

They hire kids straight out of college so they can "grow with the company" and there is a very frat/sorority vibe because of it. Most of them don't have any experience outside of IG, are not qualified for the roles they are in, and are overly eager to please. IG believes you can teach anyone anything, so they put many people into roles that they have no experience in and have them learn on the job. If that doesn't pan out, they float you around till they find something that kind of works. This becomes a problem when you have people with actual experience working with them. Because they're young, they will argue they are right in almost every case. When they are proven wrong, there is usually a good amount of finger pointing and blame passed around. The C-suite executives have all come up through the ranks and the vast majority also don't have any experience outside of the company. It's a boys club and has become a cult-of-personality at best. If they like you, they'll promote you which leads to people in leadership positions that have no business in that role. If they don't, the default is "You're just not a cultural fit". And this can happen at anytime - despite how many wins you make, they could let you go the following week. Certain Directors are more interested in climbing the ladder themselves than actually doing their job. They will manipulate their teams to get what they want, including lying, gaslighting, and instigating. They will erode any boundaries you have which in turn, become expectations. You will spend more time placating to them than actually doing your job. They will encourage honest dialog but retaliate if they perceive you're not agreeing with them. VP's will either turn a blind eye or have removed themselves enough that they are ignorant to how their directors operate. Directors then hold middle management accountable while also expecting them to personally contribute to projects and doing MANY tasks outside of their expertise. So many - you won't be doing the job your were hired to do in the first place. There are far too many details to name, but in sum - they thrive on chaos and have no interest in changing. They don't care how it gets done, as long as it gets done. They promote a cult-like atmosphere with their shared values, but hardly any of them actually follow it. It is very much a "this is for them, not for us" mentality. Despite how much they praise you, they will churn and burn and never think twice about it. When you leave, (in all seriousness) I highly recommend seeing a therapist. If you want to understand what is wrong with corporate culture, IG is a grade-A example.

Pros

Can make good money, your coworkers are great

Cons

- work 7:45-5pm every day and will be questioned if you leave early - "hybrid" is onsite mon-fri with no flexibility - management is absolutely insane in every way - zero diversity, only hire blonde women in their 20s - base salary is laughable and you will be making that for at least a year if not more - management will play favorites and that has a direct impact your paycheck - constant work drama - no rewards for hard workers - benefits are a JOKE - 401k match is $250/year, health insurance is terrible, and zero perks of the job
