Pros
Fun, intelligent people who like talking about interesting things. A lot of people here with great senses of humor. A few "larger than life" personalities (which I personally quite like). Work that is interesting and always changing and a certain amount of immediate gratification when you see people signing up for the conferences you are working on. Encouraged to try new topics and new conference ideas -- creativity is valued here.
Cons
As with any job in the conference business, you need to be able to deal with problems that arise and situations that change, and plenty of problem-solving on the fly. Some people can't handle the pace and the fact that you have to change/respond/fix problems quickly as situations arise. There often isn't a "once-size-fit-all" solution to things that come up and some employees have left because they can't handle it. But if you can, it's fun. Sometimes communication could be better between departments but the open concept and the new combining of the design and production departments is helping a lot.
