Pros
imaware used to be (as the other reviews show) an awesome place to work that had vision, good people, resources, and provided a supportive workplace. There is still some of this remaining, but there's a lot of change going on, including so many people leaving. Hopefully the new people coming in will help to rebuild the culture. Having Friday afternoons off during the summer and 100% remote options is a great perk.
Cons
The company lacks long-term, strategic vision. We are always moving from initiative to initiative when we just outlined what the last one would accomplish. This results in starting a lot of new things (MVPs as the leadership calls it) which are barely functional, then because a new idea came along, we focus on building that. The revenue growth from adding new clients has also stalled out. There has been promise of a few "really large clients" that became the focus, but none have produced any quantifiable benefit for the company. As a result, the cofounder who was the CEO for a 3+ years was recently forced to step down by the board. They replaced him with a President who's only focus is making money. In the last 6 months, 4 department heads have left the company and 5 other people left (the company only has 45 people). They also brought in a Chief Growth Officer who is very out of tune with the industry and will even steal your ideas. It's very toxic and I dread opening my laptop every day.
