Pros
You are allowed a fairly wide range of autonomy in your work. They pay well (holidays are paid) and provide solid benefits. The job security is great because natural gas distribution isn't going anywhere and with the aging workforce they will soon be hiring like crazy (about 50% of their workforce will be retiring within the next 5-10 years). The people are also very friendly. The employees I encountered were all very friendly.
Cons
If you are looking to be a hot shot moving up to management in no time, this is not the job for you. The culture values employees who have been faithful and have paid their dues in time with the company. The lower management positions don't allow much flexibility and require someone who follows the books with no deviation. Senior management is quickly filling with people from spain.
