      Pros

      The people make this company amazing. It's like a true family here at work. We love to see people succeed, and really help them grow. You can tell everyone is very passionate about their jobs. Also the location is perfect, as there are tons of amazing places to eat in San Mateo! It's amazing to be a part of ipsy and watch it grow.

      Cons

      I spend too much money at the Philz Coffee around the corner.

      - Remote first - Kind coworkers - Fun brand

      My entire career has been built on digital transformation/migration projects, but IPSY showed me a new kind of chaos. A very immature project management function coupled with constant rebrands, shifting priorities, and last-minute legal changes made it feel like they were trying to rebuild the car while it's already rolling downhill. Still a spreadsheet place. Product requirements constantly got buried in Slack. (Why are we so afraid of email?) Disjointed processes and minimal communication to contractors. (It's often the norm to treat contractors like secondary citizens, but most places will at least communicate info relevant to your job). Seems like a bad idea to lay off tech team members midway through a delayed transformation project.
