Pros
The work culture is amazing and the people you work with are family
Cons
The new HQ Management care more about pushing agendas, a strong image, and making a name for themselves, rather than actually continuing the good work of IOM has done for over 50 years. They are willing to undo decades of hard work from the people before them such as transitioning to a wholly new and untested system, in such as short amount of time. Worse still, they are willing to let go of tenured local staff and local staff crucial to the functions of IOM, all while choosing to keep hiring Directors and other overpaid Senior Managers who do nothing but make the company look diverse and inclusive to a fault. Diversity and inclusion is a wonderful thing, by nature IOM has always been just that. But calling it diversity and inclusivity when all it actually is NEPOTISM is just outrageous. And worst of all, management did not prepare for troubling times brought about by the US election when the writing was made clear on the wall years prior. During the leadup to the new US Administration, the IOM HQ Management did nothing to address the possible effects as they were too busy making themselves look good and too busy playing politics.
