Pros

There are NO pros working at ICIS

Cons

Low salaries Favouritism amount the team from management Lack of cultural awareness If you come in at entry level do not expect to work your way up Untrained and inexperienced individuals placed in management roles, resulting in a negative outcome for their teams and stunting their career progression. I experienced managers mistreating their staff in terms of fake promises and preventing promotions. My manager was change 3 time within 9 months due to the lack of organization and understanding of their own internal stricture and all round mess! It is extremely separate between management and staff and they make sure you know that you are not one of them (managers). Overall a very negative environment to work in and would not advise anyone to put themselves in that position.

Thank you for leaving your honest review. It is hard to comment on your experience not knowing how long ago you left - but ICIS is always evolving and always seeking to do better. This has led to a consistent and significant l increase in our employe satisfaction score year on year for a number of years. We have a lot of talented employees and work hard to offer everyone an opportunity to grow - in the right setting and with the right support. This speaks to our high performance culture - where we simply ask that everyone aspires to develop their skills and capability in line with their aspirations. I wish you all the best for the future.

Pros

The culture, daily support from coworkers and management alike, opportunities to travel, opportunities for personal growth as well as professional growth, flexible working schedule, benefits. I have worked at this company for almost two years now, and I have YET to have a bad day. I owe it to the CONSTANT support from management, as well as the support the editorial team gives me daily. I have worked in many roles, and been a part of many teams, but I have NEVER seen a culture like the one at ICIS. The editorial team is strong and supportive, and my management is invested in my personal and professional development. Not only have I received support from management as I learned my role, I have also received an IMMENSE amount of support from the editorial team as a whole. I can't think of a single person on my team that I wouldn't be able to call and ask for help. Actually, I believe I have turned to every single person on the editorial team for some type of support, at some point in these past two years. Management continues to impress me as I learn my role and want to expand my learning. Every opportunity I have been given is one that I asked for. I have YET to be denied any form of growth or advancement within the company. When I first joined ICIS, I expressed an interest in traveling to conferences to build connections within the industry, and management has given me every opportunity imaginable to foster that interest. The benefits include competitive pay, tuition reimbursement, and a flexible working schedule – 2 days in office, which you get to pick. The office itself is extremely nice and it is obvious management had employee comfort in mind when they leased it. I cant thank ICIS, and management enough for fostering such a great work environment for its employees.

Cons

There are absolutely ZERO cons, and I am not just saying that.

Pros

Good initial sales skills training, Nice work life balance, Well respected data & market experts, Sales Enablement support. A great platform to learn skills & get experience so you can earn more money elsewhere after 18-24 months.

Cons

Sales leaders talk about high performance but no one really does it, if you do it great, if you dont no one cares. Its a grind daily, churning out renewals. Sales leaders talk about performance and say its the important thing, except at the end of month/qtr/year (so all the time) when all they want to hear about it when is the deal coming in and for how much. Salary very average and targets re quite high so making good commission, pretty unlikely. The excellence club is quite funny, they suggest you plan for it, but the reality is its a lottery, even if you smash your number and deliver 'High performance' it comes down to have you been before (if you have, probably not going again) and have you brown nosed the Head of Sales enough. If you get to go, its a very nice trip, but dont plan on it.
