Pros

High compensation, presumably to help people get over the unbelievably absurd culture fostered by the new CEO and his newly hired cronies.

Cons

This was easily the worst experience of my professional career. The new CEO who started in March of 2023 was one of the most incompetent, narcissistic, and toxic people I've ever met - and this isn't a stretch. Lots of nepotism, to the point where he appoints his friends from previous companies (who are also toxic) as executives without staging interviews. Theres an astonishing amount of brain drain going on here as the great minds that made this company excellent are getting out as fast as they can. There were two rounds of layoffs in 2023, one where the entire German office was shutdown, another that impacted a large portion of sales and marketing. This took place after the CEO stated at his introductory meeting that he's never held layoffs. Significant benefit cuts also took place in 2023, which made the company far less competitive than it had been. It's really discouraging to see a company that was so close to greatness get utterly destroyed by a handful of people who keep shouting the words "disruption" and "hyperautomation" (which is an idea several years old, by the way). Truly a bizarre and sad experience here. New leadership will have there day, but until they're gone, stay away.

Pros

Hyperscience is a true leader in the Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) space, utilizing genuinely cutting-edge AI and ML models to create a product demonstrably superior to its competitors. Beyond the technology, the work environment offers significant flexibility and trust: there is very little micromanagement, allowing employees to maintain a positive work-life balance and manage their own workflow.

Cons

The company is currently in a high-intensity growth mode, which translates at times into a demanding and ambiguous environment. While the high degree of flexibility is a major pro, the flip side is the expectation that every employee must be a true owner, proactively driving their own work without constant supervision.

Pros

Pays well. Great front line employees. Decent Benefits

Cons

Terrible Leadership that doesn't listen or seem to care. Their arrogance is so surprising in that they don't care about anyones opinion or seem to worry about the mass exodus of employees and legacy knowledge fleeing the company. They've had multiple rounds of layoffs with little to no communication or plan. Definitely do your homework before considering going here. They've let go a large number of employees but never backfilled and expects everyone to do work outside of what they were hired for. They keep combining roles with no consideration of workload or work life balance. They've taken do more with less way to far to the point people are leaving.
