Pros

Pays well. Great front line employees. Decent Benefits

Cons

Terrible Leadership that doesn't listen or seem to care. Their arrogance is so surprising in that they don't care about anyones opinion or seem to worry about the mass exodus of employees and legacy knowledge fleeing the company. They've had multiple rounds of layoffs with little to no communication or plan. Definitely do your homework before considering going here. They've let go a large number of employees but never backfilled and expects everyone to do work outside of what they were hired for. They keep combining roles with no consideration of workload or work life balance. They've taken do more with less way to far to the point people are leaving.

Pros

Hyperscience is a true leader in the Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) space, utilizing genuinely cutting-edge AI and ML models to create a product demonstrably superior to its competitors. Beyond the technology, the work environment offers significant flexibility and trust: there is very little micromanagement, allowing employees to maintain a positive work-life balance and manage their own workflow.

Cons

The company is currently in a high-intensity growth mode, which translates at times into a demanding and ambiguous environment. While the high degree of flexibility is a major pro, the flip side is the expectation that every employee must be a true owner, proactively driving their own work without constant supervision.

Pros

An incredible experience. The people are some of the most impressive and intelligent I have ever met. They place a large focus on mentorship, you feel supported from day one. I got to work on a project that was genuinely valued by executive leadership, including presenting and getting feedback from the CEO. In my role, I had access to cross-functional teams across operations, marketing, and structured networking gave me access to all areas of the business. Built technical skills in data analysis through Google Sheets, dynamic slide creation, data export scripts, project planning and more. Hyperscience is fast-paced, collaborative, and full of people who deeply care about what they do. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Cons

If you don't like Google Suite, this business uses it exclusively (not an issue for me, I prefer Google to Microsoft Office). Also, it is a remote experience, so not for everyone, but they work hard to get interns, managers, and mentors together at multiple points during the summer. It is also part time work, only 29 hours a week. I saw this as a benefit considering the experience I got in return while still having plenty of time away from work, but could be off-putting to those looking for more immersion.
