Pros

They recruit a lot of of management form within, giving progression to existing staff members. The money is good for the type of sales that we do, we are expected to bring in a very reasonable number every month. Sales culture is not nearly as intense as elsewhere. The C suite are trusted by staff and even liked... not always the case in big tech. The Dublin office feels like ground Zero for what ever is happening in the company. RSU competitions President's club for over achievers, which is always a great time. They let you change paths, there are people who are crushing sales who used to be in services or m=sales manager who used to be managers in the Service org. They are taking a more hands on approach to systematizing sales process and sales training. They will pay for you to up skill up to 4k€ per year.

Cons

They are a strange set up on account ownership, it becomes like real estate and reps sit on accounts for years - some people have built their career on 'owning' the right companies in the sytem - I got in 5 years ago so I've always benefited from this but the newbie's struggle to build a capacity of decent companies. The stamping system for territories can be frustrating. Anything over 200 employees marked corp, seems unnecessary. The product has been hard to sell to enterprise businesses - this is improving and HS's offering is getting more robust every month. Sometimes Sales and Services don't see eye to eye but that has been the same where ever I've worked There is not a lot of real hand raisers looking to talk to you about Hubspot, if you have the right attitude and take ownership of your pipeline this can easily over come but I remember being really surprised about the quality of top of funnel when I started. They really try to make the culture positive, this could actually be in the Pro bucket if for some people. I become uncomfortable sometimes with some of the culture events as I don't know what to say or what the right approach should be on sensitive questions like race or politics. Some people like to have these discussions at work but I'd prefer to get on with the job.

Thanks for calling out our tuition reimbursement, internal mobility and President's Club as wonderful elements of our sales culture, and for the fair feedback on account ownership. As we scale we are definitely figuring out what works best and scales on that front, and will absolutely continue to invest on the product side of things. Appreciate your feedback and all you do to support our partners as they scale--our solutions partner program is vital to our company growth and we appreciate your hard work! -Katie

Pros

The teams you work with are phenomenal. The knowledge combination between an internal customer facing teams, engineering product development teams, and Sales are unmatched.

Cons

Excessive use of PIPs to oust employees after multiple high revenue launches, with no explanation, actual documentation, or factual data. Reviews have been adjusted to allow for terminations post pre-approved leaves. Salaries are a joke. You are always in a cover yourself mode 24/7. Management reviews are consistently a 2 or 3 out of 5 no matter what. If a team decides you aren’t in the group, management will put you on a “unofficial” PIP without telling you, in order to surprise you at a later date. Even if they are unfounded. Beware of possibility of negative backlash post launches. They will feel the need to assign blame ( such as for timelines or issues related to bugs). Regardless of performance or level of involvement. This is an enormous company with many large paths for career advancement. But micro management is rampant, leaving little room for doing the daily expectations of your actual role. This degrades your opportunities for career advancement.
